Bold and Confident Access to God

A powerful and beneficial discussion was held at Christ In The Park today.  Wow!  And all sorts of relevant questions opened the doors for further benefit to the participants.  Here is the content of the handout for the morning:

Bold & Confident Access to God
Ephesians 3:11-12, “According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.”
The Apostle Paul tells Believers that we can approach, have access, and speak to God because He has granted us that privilege.  Look at the following verses to see how that is further explained.
Hebrews 4:16, “Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Ephesians 2:18, “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”
Hebrews 10:19, 22, “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus…Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Wow!  What a wonderful gift from God…we can boldly and confidently march right up to His throne of grace and obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  (It helps to know that “grace” is that which God will DO for us in our time of need).

TRUTH found its way to the surface, including a diagram and discussion about how easy it is for our enemy to move someone away from absolute truth, including such things as Believers’ access to God.  Well, amen!

God Created Me For His Good Works

Greetings from Christ In The Park!  This was the handout for discussion this morning.  We had a good question and input time, along with excellent fellowship.  Plus, one of the guys and I had a discussion about how he could earn some money…he is going to call me this week, and we will do some research on the idea, grab a bite for lunch, and have some fellowship mid-week!  Amen!

Enjoy what all rallied around in God’s Word this morning…

God Created Me For His Good Works
Ephesians 2:10, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

The New Man (new “me”) is a creation of God by the Spiritual Birth, not our physical birth.  We ARE His workmanship, His creation, His “making.”  And as a Christian (New Man) I am created for God to do “good works” (spiritual works) through my earthsuit.  God has ordained (prepared beforehand) us to live (walk) in those good spiritual works FOR HIS GLORY.

Psalm 100:3, “Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.”
Ephesians 4:24, “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
Titus 2:13-14, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

The Bible is clear that Christians are a New Man, a Spiritual Man.  Look at all the wonderful things God’s Word (the Bible, the Holy Scriptures) has to tell us about His creation…us.
·         we are the sheep of His pasture
·         we are created in righteousness and true holiness
·         He is our Savior.  He gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity
·         He has purified us unto Himself a peculiar people
·         He has made us zealous of good works (spiritual works)

WOW!  How wonderfully made we are IN CHRIST!  Hallelujah!

Christ is my righteousness!

CitP blog, 7-1-18, “Christ is my righteousness”

Today was a real blessing with “Christ In The Park.”  We had a good discussion about how Christ is our righteousness, and all that entails…or, at least a lot of what it entails!  And, we got into some good discussion about how God designed humanity, including delving into the makeup (actually, creation) of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, then the makeup (or, begatting) of Fallen Man (sinners) & the makeup (or, creation) of Regenerated Man (Saints).

Whew!  Lots of content…

But, here is what the handout for discussion this Sunday had to say:

I Corinthians 1:30, “Of God are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us righteousness”

WOW!  Nothing we ARE or DO is righteousness before God, BUT Christ Jesus is MADE unto us righteousness…not of anything we do, or of our doing…but OF GOD’s DOING.  We cannot get any more righteous than that!  Hallelujah!

This is a huge Truth that all Believers need to know, realize, accept, and appropriate (let it become real to us).  IF we do, this is Truth that MAKES US FREE from having to perform to please God.

God never intended for anyone to “perform” (do) anything to please Him.  God never intended Christians to “perform” (do) anything to please Him.  God only accepts what Christ DOES through Christians.

Churches have been teaching falsehoods for generations, and too many Christians are living in defeat because they think they are not pleasing to God.  God forbid!

Thanks, again, for everyone’s prayer support!  God is doing some amazing things among these folks who have no church (or, at least a “recognized” local gathering of the Body of Christ), but are a part of “The Church” (the real Body of Christ).  Well, amen!

I am alive!

CitP blog, 6-22-18 – “I am alive!”

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace ye are saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5.  (this will be the handout this Sunday)

God says explicitly that we WERE formerly a dead spirit, but He hath “quickened” (made alive) us through His Holy Spirit which He gave us as a guarantee of our salvation.  Hallelujah!

Dead, but now alive!

Well, we had one of our previous faithful men attendees at “Christ In The Park” back with us this past Sunday.  He had been “away” for a crime he had committed a year ago.  One of his first acts back was to attend CitP.  When I asked him what he would like to have for a treat this Sunday his response  was this: Barbara’s egg casserole!  Well, Barbara is preparing a couple of those for this Sunday morning…

Not only was the fellowship and bible handout great last week, but God gave us some clouds and a nice breeze that made the morning gathering very pleasant temperature wise!  Well, amen!

Thank all of you faithful Prayer Warriors for lifting us up to the Throne of Grace!

Redeemed by Christ's blood

Redeemed by Christ’s blood

How precious to all Believers is the Blood of Christ!  What can wash away my sins?  NOTHING but the Blood of Jesus!

A great day was enjoyed at Christ in the Park this past Sunday.  What an astounding study of Ephesians 1:7, “In whom (Christ) we have redemption through His blood…”  REDEMPTION!  Do you remember the old hymn, “Redeemed how I love to proclaim it”?  I recall straining to hit a few of those notes, but oh how I loved to sing it!!!

Once again, God gave us wonderful diversity of participants…wide range of ages, 3 different nationalities, 1 God.  Well, amen.

Barbara and I were in Colorado visiting Betty Wells just days before, and we recalled the story of how CitP first was an idea from an ALMI/Michael Wells men’s retreat many years ago.  Met with Noah Wells and Tim Lester who were about to host another retreat.  Tim lives in Maryland.  He got excited about CitP, and seemed to have a ‘word from God’ about starting a Christ On The Beach ministry.  We will see…

Thank you followers for all your prayers.  Ministry in the park is completely different than in the church.  Yet the same God shows up and works in lives everywhere.  Amen.

"I Am Holy and Without Blame!"

CitP blog, 5-13-18, big group and great spiritual food at CitP today

A really nice group at the park this morning.  All “regulars.”  All interested in the Truth of God.

I have begun a series of handouts focusing on “who Christians are in Christ” and “Who Christ is in Christians.”  Today’s topic: Ephesians 1:4, “I Am Holy and Without Blame!”  It was very well received.  The folks are growing in revelation of their relationship with God, and the great spiritual blessings He has bestowed on them.

Barbara had prepared some pinto beans, a la her special recipe.  Throw in some of her great cornbread with iced tea and all enjoyed a good earthly meal to complement the heavenly one God had for us.  It is really a kick to see the guys help unload the truck, get everything set up, and serving each other…then pack everything back in the truck.  They love the entire setting and fellowship.

Thanks to all who pray for God to show Himself strong on these guys behalf.  All had jobs this week.  Rogelio’s legs were “better.”

Thank the Lord for another good gathering with Christ In The Park.

Blessed with ALL spiritual blessings!

CitP blog, 5-6-18, wonderful day with Saints in the park!

What a great day at Christ In The Park today!  Rogelio drove into the parking lot just before me.  Dave and 1 other were already there.  Wayne rode up on his bicycle soon.  We got set up quickly, had the coffee pot on, and one of Barbara’s egg/sausage casseroles ready to dish up.  Soon we had several arrive, including Rick and Abby who had led out last week when I was at a funeral for my son-in-law’s (Chad) father, Jackie Graff.

Our discussion this week focused on Ephesians 1:3, “I have been blessed with ALL spiritual blessings!”  What a great time talking about Jesus and ALL He has blessed us with spiritually.

As usual, other questions and issues came up, and the interaction was great.  AND, God has brought one fellow who likes to sing, a cappella.  The joy of Jesus flowed beautifully.

We had a couple of personal sad notes: A friend of Dave’s that he had brought a few times the past few months passed away last Monday.  He had a brain tumor that eventually took him.  And, Rogelio shared a prayer request for himself.  He is having some issues with his lower legs due to something with his diabetes.  So, if you would join us in praying for the Graff family, Dave and his friend’s family, and Rogelio…we would appreciate it.

And, wow!  Some friends from the past few years, Bill and Dorothy, came to visit for the last 30 minutes.  They were a great blessing!

Oh, the weather was spectacular!  FIRST TIME since before December that we haven’t had to put up tarps and use the propane heater!  Can you believe it?!?  Texas weather.  No further explanation needed.

Well, amen!  I can’t wait to see what God is going to do next week also…we will have to wait and see.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all,
Lee
