Christ at the Park, 3-10-19, yielded some surprising moments. In addition to one being a regular who brings his blower over BEFORE any of us show around 10am and he blows off debris and dust/dirt from the pavilion floor, two came who had not been there in a long time. Turns out they had both gotten jobs of their initiative to do whatever they could and been working Sunday mornings. Well, amen.
The topic for the handout and discussion this week was featuring "Creativity vs Underachievement." Wisdom, thoughts, planning, and inventiveness were highlighted. How better can one show creativity than to initiate coming over to the park to clear the pavilion floor before everyone shows up? Or, getting out there and scrambling to get a job.
Bill Gothard's Power for True Success character book provides us with weekly studies of ways for these folks to grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for bringing Bill Gothard into my life about 40 years ago!
